About the role
Operate and program fiber laser cutting machines to produce precision components. Develop and optimize nesting patterns to maximize material utilization. Set up laser equipment, adjust cutting parameters, and inspect finished parts for quality and accuracy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in laser operation
- 3-5 years experience operating laser cutting machines in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in programming and nesting software for laser cutting applications
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files
- Experience working to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Detail-oriented with a proven track record of producing high-quality laser-cut parts
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with fiber laser systems
- Familiarity with multiple material types and thicknesses
- Routine maintenance and troubleshooting experience on laser equipment
